I've said it many times. but dang it Tofu, I love you! A genuine joy of mine is converting tofu non believers- into tofu believers. Y'all. Tofu tastes good, you just gotta take your time with it and care for it just the same you would with meat! Plain boiled chicken isn't great. Just like plain tofu isn't awesome (to me anyway). Treat your tofu with love and it'll love ya back ;) promise. So this wrap is something I've been making for yearssssss. It was something I used to make for friends when they came over cause again, wanted to make them tofu believers, duh! I'd say it worked out well ;) Also, y'all. I have never pressed my tofu. It's just not necessary to me. I'm not trying to eat crouton tofu, this is tofu. SO yes, it's crispy on the outside and somewhat tender on the inside. So don't come at me about pressing the tofu- that's never been something I've done so don't go thinking you have to do that, ya definitely don't! Definitely give this a try and tag me on instagram: @thedailykale if ya do! Love seeing your re-creations. Garlic Parmesan Tofu Recipe by: Krysten Jorgensen Ingredients:

I’m sorry (not sorry) but this was legit If you don’t try this- I’m gonna be sad for you. But I don’t wanna be sad for you, so please - just try it Not pictured is the homemade ranch I dunked each one of these in with every bite. So goooood. Oh oh! and guess what my beautiful friends, I have some options for you!
For my veg friends- use crumbled tofu, for my non veg friends, use ground chicken. For my dairy free friends, use almond cream cheese (I really like @kitehillfoods) and for my non dairy free friends, use whatever cream cheese ya like. It all works . I love giving ya options! It’s delicious either route you choose. p.s. this Buffalo sauce by @primalkitchenfoods is liquid gold. Actual liquid gold. So go ahead and save this post and tag me @thedailykale when you make it! Buffalo Wontons By: The Daily Kale 1 cup crumbled tofu or ground chicken 2-3 tbsp cream cheese * (DF or reg) 3 tbsp Buffalo sauce 3-4 tbsp green onion (chopped) 2 tbsp chopped celery 1/4 tsp garlic powder Pinch of black pepper Wonton wrappers (makes about 15) Cook the tofu crumbles or chicken in a sauce pan until fully done. Make sure there is no excess water left over. Then in a bowl stir everything together, add an extra tbsp of cream cheese if you need it to be stickier. It should be a nice sticky mix, holding together well. Take a wonton wrapper and dip your finger in water and coat the edges of the wrapper with the water. Place about 1.5 tbsp or less of the mixture in the center. Fold up the wonton wrapper. (It’s too hard to explain through words for me, so just go ahead and look that one up ). Continue until you finish the mixture. Place evenly in your air fryer, I had to do 4-5 at a time. Air fry at 385 for 5-7 minutes. Keep an eye on it! You’ll know when it’s done because it will be a golden color, but definitely don’t burn it by cooking any longer. Serve with delicious ranch and top with more scallions. Ok y’all, enjoy!! Orange Creamsicle Toast
When I was a kid, pretty much anything ‘orange + cream’ related was a good ole fashion favorite of mine. I loved the ice cream bars and especially the soda in the glass bottles we used to get when we’d go to an old general store (I’m originally from Georgia). So this toast basically brought my taste buds down memory lane, in the best way. I hope y’all love it! Tag me @thedailykale if you make it 2 tbsp cream cheese (@kitehillfoods) 1 tbsp orange juice 1-2 tsp orang zest 1/2 tsp vanilla 1 1/2 tsp monkfruit Bread of choice (I used @unbunfoods) Stir everything together in a bowl until smooth. It sometimes helps to use a double boiler method to make the consistency even more creamy and smooth. Toast your favorite bread and spread it on there... Add extra orange slices and hemp seeds if you’d like ✨✌🏼 Enjoy! #thedailykale Rice Paper Chips
(Makes 16 chips )
Directions: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Cut your rice papers into triangles. One rice paper makes 8 chips. Drop in one triangle at a time. It’ll puff up very fast, about 1-2 seconds so take it out fast and tap off the excess oil. I didn’t season these because I am making nachos but by all means if you ever want to make chips or a vegan ‘pork rind’ have fun with your seasoning! I personally think they taste good as is. |
