Did you know my favorite dessert flavor is key lime?! Yup. Tis my favvvvvv. So I decided to whip up those flavors real quick and put it all on some toast... meaning what we have here folks, is what I’d like to call :
Key Lime Pie Toast she’s a flavorful natural beauty. Y’all gotta try this ! (The limes on top are just for a beautiful, visual, take off before enjoying, or don't add sliced limes at all :) #thedailykale Key Lime Pie Toast 2 tbsp almond cream cheese (@kitehillfoods) 2 tbsp almond yogurt 1/2 avocado 3-4 tbsp lime juice 2 tbsp coconut creamer (@nutpods) 1 tbsp maple syrup (@choczero) 1.5 tbsp golden monk fruit (or any granulated sugar) Blend until smooth and creamy !Bonus for this- any left overs you have for this makes for a great key lime pudding! I added sliced limes, berries, coconut and hemp seeds on top for fun A few subs: *I used @kitehillfoods for the cream cheese and yogurt cause that’s been my go to for quite some time now- but you can use whatever brand you like. *creamer can be replaced with any almond or coconut milk if you prefer. *maple syrup and sugar for any •My discount code for NutPods is ‘thedailykale’ on their website- couldn’t recommend the new coconut macaroon flavor more! So good. Plus the cinnamon swirl is a favorite :) Tempura Onion Rings with Spicy Mayo + Island Teriyaki Sauce.
Gluten free + vegan • Say wha, say whaaaaa. Look- to all the onion ring haters out there, my recipe might change your mind. So flavor filled. I’m in love with an onion ring and I don’t care who knows it I tried this two ways- both worked- first way was with just rice flour, second way was with a gluten free flour blend that has rice flour as it’s first ingredient, and a few other ingredients. *Depending on the the flour and sparkling water you are using, the amount you will need will vary. So start off slow with your water and see if you need to add more. I used @topochicousa and needed to add 3/4 cup. But you might not need as much. You want a smooth creamy batter- not too thick/ heavy. *Also I air fried these but if you don’t have an air fryer you can always bake them, the texture might come out a little differently than mine did and you would need to keep an eye on them since baking times could be a little different. Any who here ya go! Y’all tag me if you try them :) 1/4 cup rice flour 1/2 cup -3/4 cup sparkling water pinch of baking soda (Add more sparkling water if necessary) 1/2 cup gf panko bread crumbs (or reg) 1 yellow onion (into slices) Dip individual slices of onions into batter and the let excess drip off and then dip into bread crumbs until coated. You might need more bread crumbs/ batter depending on how big of an onion you are using. Air fry at 390 for 15 min., flipping half way through. Keep an eye on them so they don’t burn, everyone’s air fryer is a little different. I topped these with homemade spicy mayo, scallions, sesame seeds, and @primalkitchenfoods Island teriyaki sauce. #thedailykale Spicy Mayo: 1/4 cup mayo (vegan or reg ) 1.5 tbsp tamari (gluten free) 1.5-2 tbsp sriracha 1.5 tsp golden monkfruit (or any type of granulated sugar) 1 tsp sesame oil |
